EXERCISE IS MEDICINE
We offer fitness-focused solutions for these issues:
In 2007, the American Medical Association – in conjunction with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) – launched the Exercise is Medicine (EIM) Initiative.
THE VISION OF EIM
Have healthcare providers assess every patient’s level of physical activity at every clinic visit.
Determine if the patient is meeting the U.S. National Physical Activity Guidelines.
Provide patients with brief counseling to help him/her meet the guidelines and/or refer the patient to either healthcare or community-based resources for further physical activity counseling.
Our mission is to bring the EIM Initiative to our local community by providing the properly trained staff, the most suitable equipment and a positive environment that will help our clients achieve their health goals. We feel that preventing disease is the key to a healthy and fulfilling future and that exercise is a main ingredient to management, prevention and improving outcomes for people with chronic diseases and multiple risk factors.
Exercising for health is different from exercising for fitness and sport.
As we become older and wiser, our focus turns more toward improving or maintaining our health. Many people fail in their programs because they are not given the right direction and equipment to achieve health gains — traditional approaches and equipment can be too hard, cause injury or just not work. As a result, people fail to achieve their goals, quit and feel that “exercise doesn’t work.” Exercise does work; it just has to be the right type for you, with the right equipment and in the right environment.
We have the right staff that will customize the exercise approach, and we have acquired the best equipment for successful exercise programs.

If exercise could be packed in a pill, it would be the single most widely prescribed and beneficial medicine in the nation.
