About the Pilates:
Pilates is an exercise regimen that is typically performed on a floor mat or with the use of specialized apparatus and aims to improve flexibility and stability by strengthening the muscles and especially the torso-stabilizing muscles of the abdomen and lower back.
Pilates Mat 101
Learn the fundamentals of pilates mat work including pelvic stabilization, neutral spine and muscle awareness song with proper breathing. Clients attending this class need to be comfortable and able to get up and down off the floor. Modifications of each move allow any beginner to feel comfortable in this class.
Mondays & Wednesdays: 9-9:45
Pilates Mat 201
Learn more intermediate/advanced pilates movements and variations to challenge your mind and body. Clients attending this class must master Pilates 101 and have approval of instructor to progress to this more independent and advanced class.
One on One Pilates Reformer Sessions:
One on One Pilates Reformer Sessions will add resistance to the pilates fundamental mat work and challenge you with more advanced work. The Reformer can also apply for clients with limited mobility or who might need more specific conditioning or post rehabilitation exercise.
