Nicole Ortner, Clinic Director/ Physical Therapist

Nicole Neil

Nicole grew up in Aiken, SC where she initially developed an interest in physical therapy in high school after suffering an ACL injury playing soccer in 2008 and receiving care at South Aiken Physical Therapy. She had a very positive experience that helped her return to the sport she loved, which drove her decision to pursue physical therapy as a career. She received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2016. She went on to work at a manual-based outpatient orthopedic clinic in Charleston, SC for 5 1/2 years where she honed her skills as a manual therapist. She enjoys seeing a wide range of orthopedic injuries and offering one-on-one, hands-on therapy.

Bachelor’s degree of Science in Exercise Science from University of South Carolina; Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University

Hobbies:

Spending time with family and friends; going to the beach; any outside activities including disc golf, running, tennis, and hiking; working out, spending time with her dog Copper

What do you like most about working at South Aiken Physical Therapy and Wellness:

Having the opportunity to get to know my patients and providing one-on-one treatment, helping patients work through pain and injuries to return to doing the things they enjoy most. As physical therapists, we have the unique opportunity of spending time with our patients, helping them meet their individual goals and improve their health and function.
